Marco Hietala Biografia e carreira Hietala se juntou ao Nightwish em 2002 para o lançamento do álbum Century Child, naquele ano, substituindo Sami Vänskä.[2] Hietala também ja esteve na banda Delain, que reúne muitos membros da comunidade gótica e Heavy metal. Ele fez também uma participação no álbum Invitation, da banda Altaria, como back vocal. Hietala também é membro fixo na banda Northern Kings que reúne alguns dos maiores vocalistas da Finlândia . Hietala também é conhecido por ser o vocalista da banda Tarot, ao lado de seu irmão Zachary.[3] Após a entrada dele no Nightwish, o compositor Tuomas Holopainen escreveu muitos sons para serem duetos entre Hietala e a ex-vocalista da banda, Tarja Turunen. Um dos duetos mais famosos dos dois foi a regravação de Phantom of the Opera, do álbum "Century Child". Durante os shows do Nightwish, Turunen fazia uma pausa entre as músicas, antes da entrada de Hietala, esse tempo era preenchido com um som instrumental. Após sua entrada no Nightwish, a banda começou a regravar músicas de artistas famosos, como "Crazy Train" de Ozzy Osbourne, "Wild Child" do W.A.S.P., "Don't Talk to Strangers" do Dio, "Symphony of Destruction" do Megadeth e "High Hopes" do Pink Floyd, essa última foi utilizada e vários Shows, DVDs e coletâneas da banda. Hietala esteve muito envolvido na produção do, Dark Passion Play, sexto álbum do Nightwish; ele foi o cantor pricipal de vários sons como "Bye Bye Beautiful" e "7 Days to the Wolves", Hietala ainda fez Backing Vocal nas faixas "Meadows of Heaven" e "Cadence of Her Last Breath", e escreveu a música "The Islander" na qual foi o principal vocalista; o sétimo álbum da banda, Imaginaerum que foi lançado em 30 de novembro de 2011.[4] Em 2007, Hietala foi escolhido pela conceituada Kuopio Seniorhigh of Music and Dance como "Artista do ano".
